One of the most popular free downloads from the String Art Fun web site is the boat pattern. If you are new to string art this is a great pattern to start with.
The pattern instructions can be printed out on an A4 sheet (210mm x 297mm or 8 x 12 inches). The suggested method is to put the printed pattern over the backing board and hammer the nails through into the backing board. The paper is removed before starting to tie the string in place. Once the nails are in place the whole thing should go quite quickly.

I love this boat pattern. It reminds me of one my dad made in the 1970s.
It is nice to be able to get free pattern for string art project for my students. Thank you. It takes a lot of patience and hard work, both from me and my students, but we had fun, and it is still on process by now. I will show the final artwork of my students’ as soon as they have finish it.

Sorry Anna, I am not familiar with this pattern. It sounds like a nice idea for a future pattern.
I would like to make this as a set of 3 with one being larger. Is there a way to enlarge the pattern to the sizes I need to fill my wall?
Hi CozyWozy ,
The Foxit PDF reader has an option to scale the printout as a percentage.
